As part of the 2018 Bloomsbury Festival, taking place 17 to 21 October 2018, a screening of Faces of Women in Mathematics is being held at UCL's Main Quad.

Inspired by the incredible women mathematicians around the globe, the short film was produced by Dr Eugenie Hunsicker, Chair of the LMS Women in Mathematics Committee, and her filmmaker sister, Irene Linke.

The next LMS Women in Mathematics Day will be held on 19 October 2018 at Newcastle University in partnership with the WISDOM group of Royal Holloway, University of London, titled: What I’ve done with my Maths Degree, and what you can do with yours.

Aimed at undergraduate, masters or PhD students in any discipline, who are interested in hearing from successful women with a mathematical background, the event will be a friendly day of talks from several women working in academia and industry, showcasing where a degree in Mathematics can lead. 

Do you give mathematical talks in schools and colleges? The LMS currently has vacancies for Holgate Session Leaders, and invites applications from those interested in taking part in this scheme.

The Holgate Lectures and Workshops Sessions scheme provides session leaders who are willing to give talks or run workshops on mathematical subjects to groups of students or teachers. The sessions are intended to enrich and enhance mathematical education, looking both within and beyond the curriculum.
