Deadline: 20 April 2025, 23:59 (BST)
The LMS is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive mathematics community. We're excited to announce a second call for applications to our Inclusion and Diversity Fund, which supports events that champion equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in mathematics.
This fund, managed by the Committee for Women and Diversity in Mathematics (CWDM), provides financial backing to events promoting EDI in its broadest sense. We welcome proposals focusing on any aspect of diversity, including (but not limited to): race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, neurodiversity, socioeconomic status, disabilities, and background.
We encourage applications for events that:
- Celebrate contributions: Showcase the work of mathematicians from under-represented groups in academia and industry, while providing valuable mentoring and networking opportunities (e.g. Women and Non-Binary People in Mathematics Days, Diversity in Mathematics Days).
- Inspire the next generation: Encourage young people from diverse backgrounds to pursue mathematics (e.g. Girls in Mathematics Days).
- Drive systemic change: Focus on transforming systems and policies to create a more inclusive mathematical landscape.
Grants of up to £1,000 are available per event.
