The British Mathematical Colloquium 2024 will take place from 17-20 June 2024, with the Society meeting taking place on 19th June 2024, during this 75th edition of the British Mathematical Colloquia (BMC) series.
The LMS Society Meeting is open to both members and non-members who are attending the BMC 2024.

Dynamics and rigidity of surface flows
Flows on surfaces provide one of the fundamental examples of dynamical systems in low dimension and have been studied since the seminal work by Poincaré at the birth of the field. We will survey some recent advances in the study of flows on surfaces, in particular on the fine chaotic (ergodic and spectral) properties of area-preserving flows on compact surfaces as well as their extensions, and recent breakthroughs on linearization and rigidity questions in higher genus.
