The LMS, with funding from the Liber Foundation, offers Emmy Noether Fellowships to support you in maintaining or re-establishing your research program.
These prestigious fellowships recognise the challenges faced by researchers balancing careers with caregiving. If you've taken a significant break due to caring responsibilities or are managing ongoing care while trying to advance your research, this fellowship could be invaluable.
The fellowship provides the title ‘LMS Emmy Noether Fellow in Mathematics’ for a period of one year. Grants of £2,000 to £10,000 are available. Funding can be used for a range of expenses, including extra caring costs, travel, research assistance, and other support crucial for maintaining or restarting your research.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a PhD in mathematics or a closely related subject and be affiliated with a UK university in an academic capacity. This scheme also welcomes applications from mathematicians who have recently fled their home country and are continuing their studies at a UK host institution.
