Cecil King Travel Scholarship

This programme is funded by the Cecil King Memorial Foundation and is aimed at early career mathematicians in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland who are registered for a doctoral degree or have completed one within 12 months.

  • Your CV, maximum of two sides of A4, including research interests and activities.
  • A short proposal (three pages maximum). This should describe the overseas institution to be visited, the programme of study or research to be carried out and the expected benefit to be gained during the visit.

Upload requirements
Candidates are asked to provide a brief statement from the proposed supervisor where the visit will take place. This statement should confirm:

  • that they are prepared to welcome the applicant to their institution.
  • what facilities will be available to the visitor (office space, computer, library, specialist facilities, access to lectures/ meetings etc).
  • how they expect that the visit would be of benefit to the applicant. that any bench fees will be waived.
